I’ll call home
In the evening when the sun sets
When the last pink and purple lines fade from the sky
Underneath the glow of the moonlight and stars
I’ll call home
In my days when leaving bed is hard to do
When my chest hurts more than it should
Underneath the feeling I show; there’s more I should say
I’ll call home
In times of need
When it’s past 3 a.m. and the air grew thin
Underneath me is a cold puddle of tears, I didn’t notice fell
I’ll call home
In the morning when my last breath is gone
When my mattress feels like clouds
Underneath the golden gates; where a hand pulls me through
I’ll call home
In a castle where everything sparkles
When the hands show themselves to me
Underneath them my pain is healed
I’ll call home
I’ll call home
In due time
When, I won’t know
Underneath this, all I know home is there.
